| Balance | Description | Value Range |

| Account Balance | Total deposits held in their transaction account | $0 or positive value |
| Held Balance | Total balance of authorised card payments that have not yet cleared | $0 or negative value |
| Overdraft Balance | The amount of overdraft that has been drawn down on an account | $0 or negative value |
| Technical Overdraft Balance | The amount of funds that are withdrawn from the account beyond the agreed overdraft limit. This will only be in exceptional cases or particular card payments that must be accept that take the account into technical overdraft such as Sydney Transport charges. | $0 or negative value |
| Stack Balance | Total balance of stacks within an account. | $0 or positive value |
| Available Balance | The funds on an account available for use in any of the cash transfer or card payment transactions which would include both cash deposits and overdraft funds. Available Balance = Account Balance + (Overdraft Limit + Overdraft Balance) + Technical Overdraft Balance + Held Balance + Stacks balance | $0 or positive value, with exceptional of negative if a technical overdraft is applied |
